Questions
Frequently Asked
Just bring yourself, water, and comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Mats and props are provided in studio. For virtual sessions, any yoga mat or even a carpeted floor works perfectly. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your first class so we can connect before we begin.
Absolutely! Every body is a yoga body, and all of my classes welcome complete beginners. I offer modifications for every pose and encourage you to honor where your body is today. There is no such thing as being "bad at yoga" - showing up is the practice.
For group classes, please cancel at least 4 hours in advance to receive a credit. For private sessions, 24-hour notice is required for a full refund or reschedule. I understand life happens - if you have an emergency, please reach out and we will work something out.
Simply select "Sliding Scale Request" from the inquiry dropdown in the contact form, or mention it when you book. No documentation or proof of income is required - I trust you to choose the rate that reflects your current situation. Yoga should be accessible to everyone.
Yes! Private sessions and select group classes are available virtually via Zoom. Virtual sessions are perfect if you prefer practicing from home, have a busy schedule, or are located outside Kansas City or West Palm Beach. The experience is just as personal and transformative.
I have completed specialized training in trauma-informed yoga practices. This means I use invitational language (offering choices rather than commands), avoid hands-on adjustments without explicit consent, create predictable class structures, and honor that everyone carries different experiences in their bodies. Safety and agency are always prioritized.
